Rwanda Genocide

Rwanda genocide considers worst genocide in human history more than one million people were massacred in Rwanda genocide. Rwanda observed public holiday every year to remember victims of Rwanda genocide. The Hutus and Tutsi are two main nations in Rwanda. When the Germans lost their colonies after world war one the Belgians took control of Rwanda. Tutsi were minority in Rwanda and only ten percent of whole population and Hutu were nearly ninety percent of total population of Rwanda.

Main cause of Rwanda genocide was assassination of Rwanda president Juvénal Habyarimana who was returning from Tanzania when his airplane was targeted from air to air surface missile. All on board were killed in the tragic incident. Death of country president sparked country wide anger and agitation. Although no evidence was available who was behind the killing of President Juvenal Habyarimana but majority Hutu community suddenly turned their anger towards minority Tutsi community. Over the next few day several road blocks and public agitations penalized the whole country and violence spread like a wild fire.

Organized groups targeted minority Tutsi community several days. Women, children and elders were murdered. Thousands of Tutsis tried to escape the violence and hiding in churches, schools and hospitals these places were also turned in to places of mass murder in Rwanda. One of the worst massacre of Rwanda genocide was happed in church which is located about sixty miles away from Kigali. Thousands of women and children who took refuge in community Church massacred and their bodies thrown out side.
